What is interoperability?

Interoperability is the ability of separate blockchains to communicate and share assets or data. Without it, each network works in isolation, like islands that cannot trade.

Why it matters

Bridges and specialised networks aim to connect chains so value and information can flow between them. Better interoperability lets projects build on one another rather than competing in silos.
